Arghhh!! The infectious excitement of the summer holidays has got to us all and it’s almost too much to contain. July was a scorcher and we’re hoping the good weather will continue!
As we head into August the holiday season is finally upon us here in Cornwall. Long days, long delays, good weather, maybe a few days off work to get down to the south west and yes, the kids are all off school and we’re all looking for adventures. That’s where Salt Air can help this summer. Whether it’s swimming through sea caves on one of our coasteers, abseiling off majestic sea cliffs or learning new skills on a paddle board we can help ensure you have a jam packed summer of adventure.
After the long drive down the A30 into Cornwall lots of families take a day or two to unwind and find their feet, but suddenly the trip to St Ives has been done, the obligatory fish and chips has been eaten and the kids are starting to drive everyone up the walls. We all want time to ourselves sometimes but this is a family holiday and a picnic on the beach is great but what about doing something a little more adventurous this summer?
Cornwall North Coast Coasteering Adventures
For those looking to explore the coastline from a different perspective and keep the adrenaline junkie in the family happy why not come on one of our coasteers? We pride ourselves on offering family coasteers that suit all the family, and we tailor the session to meet everyones needs. Here’s what one of our guests had to say –
“The activity itself was one of the highlights of our trip. I could not recommend more highly, and if myself and the boys return to Newquay we will without a doubt be visiting these guys again.”

Cornwall South Coast River Adventures
If jumping in the sea doesn’t seem like your thing and you’re looking to slow down a little and take in the sights then why not rent a kayak or take a stand up paddle board lesson from our centre in Mylor harbour down on the south coast close to Falmouth? Stand up paddle boarding or SUP as it’s known is a great way to cruise down the river and explore the creeks and view the wildlife. Why not take a lesson as a family and then rent the boards so that you can practice at your own pace. Or if you’re thinking standing up is just too much like had work this summer, sit back and relax in one of our double kayaks while the kids paddle you up the river to the pub for a nice spot of lunch!
Whatever your idea of a great family adventure is this summer, we hope you have a fantastic time and if you are looking for a little inspiration then feel free to give us a call and have a chat.
